How to Create a BeatViz Workflow Task From an Audio File
A Workflow task begins with a song and the exact section you want to visualize. You can use Workflow for a short highlight or a longer piece of music, depending on your plan. The setup controls the scenes that will be planned later, so make the key choices before you proceed.
Step 1: Open Workflow and upload your music
Visit BeatViz Workflow. Upload or drag in one audio file from your device. Supported formats are MP3, AAC, M4A, FLAC and WAV, up to 200 MB. Workflow does not accept pasted Suno, Spotify or YouTube links.
For audio formats other than MP3, BeatViz converts the file to MP3 before trimming the selected range.
Step 2: Select the section on the waveform
Use the waveform selection to choose which part of your song the music video should cover. You must select at least 10 seconds; Workflow rounds the selected duration down to whole seconds. If you select the opening of a song, make sure that range includes the musical moment you want in the video.
Free users start with a 10-second selection and can select no more than 15 seconds. Paid users do not have that free-plan 15-second selection cap. The Generate Video button stays unavailable until an audio file and a valid range are selected.
Step 3: Add an optional creative description
The text field is optional; it can be left blank. If you want a particular concept, describe the subject, mood and action in up to 5,000 characters. For example:
A cinematic performance video: one singer on a quiet mountain road at sunset, intercut with wide landscape shots during the chorus.
Press Enter to submit the text form or Shift + Enter for a new line. This description influences planning, but you will still choose a creative direction and review a storyline afterward.
Step 4: Choose your creation settings
Before starting, select:
- Content Mode: Storytelling, Singing, Dancing or Abstract.
- Mode: Standard, Pro or Premium, with the duration and resolution options available to that tier.
- Aspect ratio: 16:9 for landscape or 9:16 for vertical video.
- Optional Characters: up to two reference characters.
- Optional Style: emotion and visual look.
Content Mode, generation tier, clip duration, resolution and aspect ratio follow the task after setup; do not assume you can change them in the later generation view. You can adjust the character assignments on scene cards later.
Step 5: Click Generate Video
Choose Generate Video to begin the process. At this click, BeatViz checks whether you have enough credits for the first frames; it does not charge the total video-generation estimate. The cost displayed near the setup covers later image and video stages, plus lip sync when Singing is selected.
If you are not logged in, BeatViz asks you to sign in and then resumes the saved form and starts the submission automatically. Confirm that the task proceeds into audio analysis.
What you will see next
Workflow analyzes the selected audio and presents up to three creative direction cards. Once you select one, it prepares an editable storyline. Only after you confirm the storyline does the system create a task, produce video prompts and start generating first frames. See Audio Analysis & Creative Directions.
Before you begin: checklist
- The file is one of the five supported audio formats and no larger than 200 MB.
- The audio selection is valid and at least 10 seconds long.
- You chose the intended 16:9 or 9:16 output format.
- You selected the correct generation tier and Content Mode.
- Any character reference is clear enough to guide first-frame generation.
