How to Regenerate a Video Clip Without Restarting Your Workflow Task

A scene may have the right story but the wrong movement, appearance or composition. BeatViz Workflow lets you regenerate one video segment while keeping the rest of the task. This is useful when most of the music video already looks right.

Step 1: Open the scene's Regenerate dialog

In the scene preview, find the segment you want to improve and select Regenerate. The dialog lets you edit the video's text prompt and control the images used for the next generation.

Focus on one clear correction: for example, “the singer looks toward the camera and walks forward slowly” is more targeted than asking for several unrelated events in the same short clip.

Open Regenerate on a scene to edit the prompt, start frame, end frame, or Standard references.

Step 2: Choose the General image controls

The General path allows an optional Start Frame and, for supported generation, an optional End Frame. You can obtain an image in three ways:

  • Upload your own image (up to 10 MB for a custom first frame).
  • Import from Library using the first frames available within this task, including the current scene's last-used first frame.
  • Use the AI image-generation tool (magic wand) to create a new image, charged at the task's first-frame rate.

When you supply both start and end frames, they guide the beginning and ending visuals of the clip. Neither is created automatically during the initial storyline step.

Step 3: Understand the Reference tab in Standard

If the task uses Standard (Veo 3.1), the dialog also offers a Reference tab. You can add up to three reference images to guide character appearance, composition or mood without requiring any image to become the literal first frame.

The Reference tab is not available in Pro or Premium. Those tiers use the start/end-frame route in this dialog. If you need a particular opening shot, use a Start Frame instead of expecting a reference photo to become the opening image.

Step 4: Review or rewrite the video prompt

Edit the prompt directly, up to 5,000 characters, or use Generate with AI to create alternate prompt wording where that control is available. Keep the new motion compatible with the chosen imagery.

For a scene with the wrong character, repair its Start Frame or relevant reference images before trying the video again. Merely repeating a name in the prompt is not a reliable identity fix.

Step 5: Confirm and regenerate

Submit the regeneration. BeatViz charges the video credits for that scene again. If Content Mode is Singing, it also charges the corresponding automatic lip-sync amount. If generation fails, applicable generation charges are refunded under the product's documented failure behavior.

Why use Import from Library?

The current-task image library lets you reuse a first frame that already looked right, rather than paying to generate a brand-new image. It is not a cross-project library of every image you have made on BeatViz. Images from another task must be explicitly available in this task before they can be selected here.

FAQs

Can I change from Standard to Pro inside Regenerate?

No. The generation tier is part of the task settings established during setup.

Can I regenerate one clip only?

Yes. Use that scene card's Regenerate control.

Do I pay again when regenerating?

Yes. A successful new generation is charged at that scene's video rate, with an additional Singing lip-sync charge when applicable.
